I wish...

I wish I had an agent
I wish lots of people would buy my books
I wish I knew how to advertize without spending all my time and my husband's money
I wish I could get my stories into the library, or Barnes and Noble, or those "people who bought this also bought..." lists on Amazon
I wish I could get some speaking engagements

I wish...

But instead of wishing I'll run around the room rejoicing. I've signed a contract for my second novel. My Five-Minute Bible Stories have been accepted by a publisher and downloaded hundreds of times to hundreds of people enjoying kindle free days. 12 of my paperbacks sold last quarter! And my latest novella just might have found a home.

So what if other people sell 15 books a day, or 50, or 100. I've got more readers than ever before,  more reason to hope, and more hoping to fuel my dreams.

     Runs around the room rejoicing again, but still wishing...
