God loved his people and gave them Ten Commandments to keep
them safe. God loved them so much he gave them 613 rules to help them obey. He
loved them so very much, he gave them priests to heal them when they broke his commandments.
Then he gave them Judges to lead them back when they went astray. When the
Judges died, God gave his people kings. God promised, as long as they obeyed,
they would stay healthy, wealthy and wise, because they’d be living the right
way. But living the right way’s so hard, if we forget to love.
